YDreams Global Interactive Technologies Inc. has been appointed by Octagon, the sports marketing agency network with 50 offices in 22 countries, as an official supplier. The first assignment is to create a series of interactive attractions for the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The NBA interactive playground hosts several technologies, including virtual reality, to a digital basketball game.

Daniel Japiassu, chief executive officer for YDreams, celebrates the project with Octagon and the opportunity to contribute to the major efforts in marketing the NBA brand: “We are extremely pleased to establish a relationship with such significant players in the industry as Octagon and the NBA. This is truly a milestone in YDreams’ growth,” stated Mr. Japiassu.

Mr. Japiassu says this first collaboration with Octagon may pave the way for new opportunities in the sports marketing industry: “Octagon is one of the greatest global references in this market. Getting closer to the sports industry has been one of our targets and we hope that we continue to get projects related to leagues and sports teams.”

YDreams Global has a significant portfolio in sports marketing and events, including Coca-Cola activations during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and designing and developing the Official Olympic Museum of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. In Europe the company created a major advertising solution during the 2006 FIFA World Cup for Adidas.

The company was also responsible for the Senna Emotion Interactive Exhibition, which led close to one million fans in 15 Brazilian cities during the past five years into an immersive experience in the life of three-time F1 champion Ayrton Senna, which is another highlight in YDreams Globals sports portfolio. “We have a long history of creating fan activities and advergames for major companies like Nike and Adidas. We believe our experience has played a major role in Octagon’s decision to have us on board; we appreciate the trust and look forward to other projects,” said Mr. Japiassu.
