PDAC 2020 will be taking place during March 1st-March 4th at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre. It is the world’s premier mining and finance conference. “The World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention is the leading convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration. In addition to meeting over 1,100 exhibitors, 2,500 investors and 25,800 attendees from 132 countries, you can also attend technical sessions, short courses and networking events. The four-day annual convention held in Toronto, Canada, has grown in size, stature and influence since it began in 1932 and today is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry. https://www.pdac.ca/convention
There is always so much going on at the convention for investors/attendees. This is the hub for investors and potential investors in the mining sector. Even with the coronavirus scare and stock market meltdown this week, the buzz at PDAC should be the strongest we’ve heard since the last gold market hay days of 2010-2011 as the price of gold hovers around US$1600/ounce.
I attended my first PDAC conference about 20 years ago. It was more of a ‘wild west’ feeling as investors would be more trusting of the management of companies. With the advent of social media and other media outlets, thankfully the investor has more outlets to be and stay informed.
